Peasant’s House represents the house of the farmers who lived in the house and cultivated the land. The house includes a small kitchen, dinner table, seating and a bed. As the room displays some of the farmer’s house tools, it gives an idea about the lives of peasants of older days. The house also has a separate entrance, two roofed terraces, and a small garden, making it a “house inside of a house.”

In older days, lands in Italy belonged to Landlords: marquises, barons, counts. Peasants were allowed to live in the houses and cultivate the land, sharing the harvest with the Landowner. Torre Dell’Angelo was one of the houses that belonged to the local Baron, who visited to eat, drink, and get his harvest share. Located on the second floor of the house, the Baron’s room is where the Baron stayed during his visits. Up to this day, the room keeps traces of his presence as well as some objects of “baronial” use. The antic clay tiles (pianelli) still adorning the ceiling, like in old days when the Baron stayed here.

“Bedroom with the fireplace”, historically was the first room people entered after climbing the external stairs, which is typical for Abruzzian homes. Located on the second floor of the house, the current room used to serve as the kitchen and had a huge fireplace, which was used not only to warm the house up, but also to cook. This place was the main center of the social life at home, like a magnet attracting both guests and house residents.
Located on the first floor on the house, Shepherd’s Refuge is a mountain-style room furnished with raw wood furniture and has several typical shepherd’s tools hanging on the walls. The style and the tools give the room its individuality and portrays the lifestyle of a shepherd. The refuge has a small kitchen of its own, two roofed terraces; its own small garden, and a separate entrance.

Artisan’s Hut greets its guests with the exposition of a number of tools used for decoration. The tools of a carpenter, ceramist, and shoemaker are displayed throughout the room. Several handmade pieces of furniture introduce guests to the lifestyle and crafts of local artisans. The room has a small garden of its own, two roofed terraces, walk-in closet and a fold-out sofa to accommodate another person.
